The Group Executive Chef of Crispin, Bar Crispin and Bistro Freddie will take over the grill for one day only as he launches The Zetter Bloomsbury’s new summer barbecue series.

On Sunday 26th July, Lewis de Haas will host the first one-day-only Garden Grill event, bringing his produce-led approach to live-fire cooking to The Zetter Bloomsbury’s hidden garden. Created exclusively for the occasion, the menu celebrates the very best of the British summer with bold flavours and seasonal ingredients cooked over open flames.

Guests will begin with grilled flat white peaches with feta, honey, chilli and pink purslane, before enjoying pork chop served with bull’s heart tomato, saffron mayonnaise and baked fennel, alongside Grezzina courgettes with anchovies and marjoram, and potato salad with grilled Margherita onions, wild garlic and crème fraîche. To finish, chilled rice pudding is paired with grilled apricots and pistachio.

Each course can be enjoyed with a bespoke PATRÓN Tequila cocktail, created exclusively for this event.

Known for his ingredient-led cooking, de Haas has helped establish Crispin, Bar Crispin and Bistro Freddie among London’s most respected dining destinations. His signature style combines simplicity with precision, allowing exceptional seasonal produce to take centre stage.

Tickets are £40 per person and include a welcome drink, starter, main and sides, with dessert available as an optional £8 supplement. Welcome drink and cocktails are available to guests aged 18 and over only.
